The borders or Burringbar form a connection of rugged hills and mountainous conditions, with the village occupying the main valley. Due to the remote location of the village within the Tweed Shire, Burringbar boasts many recreational parks, and forestry (Mooball Nature Reserve) which makes home to a large proportion of Australia’s biodiversity. These mountainous conditions also open pathways for several view corridors which frame the natural beauty of the area, thus providing a visual amenity. Due to these uneven ground conditions, some areas of the village are exposed to flooding, especially along Burringbar Creek.
