WEAKNESSES

Most of the soil withing the Tweed Shire is of poor quality as the land is highly eroded or too steep for agriculture, particularly in the west of the Shire.

Land is also expensive for agricultural use.

Camphour Laurel trees grow ramantly and difficult to keep under control.

Lack of good signage and poor accessibility to Burringbar from Pacific Hwy.

OPPORTUNITIES

Could develop better quality soil by adding a lot of matter over time.

The underdevelopment of the area has the potential to add good design easily.

THREATS

There is a threat of potential flooding in the flood prone areas that surround Burringbar.

New development could lead to negative effects on the area's natural environment and biodiversity.
